This session will address how growing community banks are changing the way they do business to account for the digital transformation occurring in the banking industry today. We will discuss why community banks are looking to fintech’s for assistance and the best practices for successful fintech partnerships. The conversation will touch on the need for cultural transformation, personnel needs and challenges, what role innovation plays into the bank’s strategy and the need for new solutions and external assistance. We will focus on what the future of banking looks like, how emerging technologies will play a role in the bank going forward. We will highlight the growing competition in the space and provide resources to assist with the innovation and fintech partnership process.

Session Instructor: Kevin Tweddle, Chief Operating Officer, ICBA Services Network, Chief Innovation Officer, ICBA
Kevin Tweddle is chief operating officer for ICBA Services Network®, providing leadership management and vision for the Services Network whose mission is to enhance the franchise value of community banks by providing high-quality products and services that aggregate the buying power of community banks nationwide.
Tweddle will also continue to drive ICBA’s innovation, change management and financial technology strategies as chief innovation officer, working with ICBA leadership to develop impactful, value-added solutions that help community banks seize new market opportunities to meet customers’ evolving financial services’ needs.
His extensive financial services experience spans 30 years and includes executive roles in sales, marketing, accounting and information technology. Tweddle previously served as president of Bank Intelligence Solutions at Fiserv and was an executive at the Bankers Bank in Atlanta, where he was chief financial officer and chief information officer.
Well-respected by industry peers, Tweddle also served as President on the Board of Directors of the Association for Financial Technology and as a member and Chairman of the Financial Institutions Committee of the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Tweddle is a certified public accountant and is a graduate of the Colorado Graduate School of Banking. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting from Stetson University in Deland, Fla.
